Homenagem do cantor Caetano Veloso às atrizes Rita Hayworth e Ava Gardner.
Fiz um clipe com imagens das atrizes e a música de Caetano ao fundo. A maior parte das imagens de Ava são do filme A Condessa Descalça, inspirado na vida de Hayworth. O filme fala de uma dançarina de flamenco espanhola que vira estrela de Hollywood e se casa com um conde. Hayworth, de pai espanhol, dançava flamenco profissionalmente desde os 12 anos de idade e se tornou a primeira princesa de Hollywood ao se casar com o príncipe islâmico Ali Khan.

I couldn't include all in one post. Caetano's "mellifluous" voice is sweet enough, but I find it hard to identity it...Where is this from? A live performance? I could not quite get the "heroine" part...And I thought it rum that he could not use neither the plural nor the singular (for this would imply that other "drug" made famous in the Golden Triangle...not that Ava or Rita were "drugs." But in the "word of cinema", the certainly drugged and soothed, drudged and sighed.

LOL. He says: "És a heroína mais pura da alma".
"Heroína" also means "Hero", for woman, got it? There´s nothing to do with drugs.
What he meant is that Gilda is the the heroine of his soul, of his life.
