Vincent (Chet Atkins solo fingerstyle guitar arrangement)

My poor attempt at playing Chet Atkins' beautiful fingerstyle arrangement of "Vincent" by Don McLean. Look up Chet himself playing this, obviously I can't compare.

I wouldn't call it a poor attempt. I think you nailed it. Just a suggestion, work on timing. Tap your foot along with the original and keep that timing. It'll feel a lot better. Good job. I'll be stealing your licks. ;-) THanks.

@martinaxman Thanks for watching and for the helpful suggestion! I'm thinking of redoing it on my classical guitar but I should take your advice and practice along to the Don McClean version or something first haha. Cheers!

Good job..the only problem I had with it is it's played just to be played. Feel it. Slow it down a little. It's a beautiful song and the justice has to be brought and the song well respected. But well done.

Well played , but do not make it rush, take your time, put your feeling into the sung and let it flow, do not think about the end, enjoy and take the sung stap by stap.
