The subwoofer has a built in amplifier
So there is a coaxial or digital output on the back of the receiver! And there you plug in the subwoofer

i hooked up my ps2 to my onkyo 5300 system,theres sound but no color,its in black n white,i hooked up optical cable to right spot,yellow single cable from tv monito to sony video input,my older sony that i had for 10 years had tv monitor plug in but not on newer sony....whats wrong????
