'HowardzEnd' is an Adelaide based, single issue song group which came together for the sole purpose of singing the song 'Strange News' during the leadup to the Australian Federal election of 2007.
Howardzend is: Sopranos: Robin, Margie, Altos: Rosalie, Lyn-K Tenors: Lisa, Roger (Alex ) Basses: Mike, John, Leon, Maarten.
Some of us regularly sing in choirs such as Ain't Nobody's Fault But Mine, The South Australian Trade Union Choir and Umbrella Acapella. Others don't.
'Strange News' was written by Mike Hopkins, and has been set to Maarten Ryder's ironically beautiful music and arrangement. It's about lies told to the Australian people by their elected government in a bid to retain political power at the 2001 election and the ongoing ripples from those lies.
Refugees supposedly drowning their children, absent weapons of mass destruction, a war on terror that causes more terror at home and (particularly) abroad. It's all a bit embarrassing really. Or it should be.
We hope Strange News reaches and touches people; that the issues are not forgotten and that the people whose daily lives have been made so shocking, desperate and terrifying are considered when we vote.

Anyone who votes for Howard in this election should have to spend eternity watching repeats of this.

These Liberals are truly an embarrasing disgrace to Australia. They should be in jail for what they have done.
