When written, I believe Simon dedicated this song to his contemporary and fellow New Yorker, Jesse Colin Young of Youngbloods fame. I loved the version of this song which had gospel baritones harmonizing in the background. Rare stuff, and us lucky ones who were there to love it then and still do now.
