1508 N. Los Robles: conversation with the owner, Mario Carrasco

On 31 March 2009, the owner of the property at 1508 N. Los Robles, Mario Carrasco, illegally removed a fully healthy protected Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia) without a permit. This tree was at least 36 inches DBH and approximately 100 years old. Tree protection services came to the site and I believe that he has been cited for this action. It is now on record with the city that the back half of the property was only cleared as a result of this illegal tree removal. The following day,I was recording events on the following day where he was removing other trees and cutting up the bole of the live oak. He yelled at me from the distance and asked to speak to me, and this video contains the conversation that transpired.
