This is a demonstration of Second Sight (Augmented Reality) working on a Sony PlayStation Portable. The content being triggered can be easilly created in Second Sight Content Creation Suite.

Wow, shows how close we're getting to what we see in those sci-fi/futuristic movies.

None, being as the tiles are simply a pattern on the page.
It's like a URL link on a word document. The link itself doesn't have the website in it, but by clicking on the link it will open the URL in your browser.
All the pattern does is trigger the video file (or what have you) on the PSP itself. It's basically a glorified index system.
(I'm not saying that it's not worth buying, the 3D models are quite impressive.) But I don't see it's really being used in the best way here, tbh.

Loving where technology is going. I'm just wondering how much information those tiles can hold. I wouldn't think a small pattern could hold much, but seeing it trigger videos and models with sound. In MB's how much can these tiles hold?

that's really cool, i have a psp myself and would like to try that. It's a cool concept or technology but can everyone afford it? I mean ur gonna have to buy a PSP just to do that, plus i'm sure that the book that comes with those special marker or codes or w/e aren't cheap, they have to be specially printed or made just to be used with a PSP...

Great stuff. I was wondering, what does the size of the marker(I think you called it a semi-code?) affect?

HI for posting a comment. We have printed sema codes as small as 12mm and as large as 500mm x 500mm carpet tiles. Basically the closer that you go to the model the larger it gets. with some animations as you get closer it can trigger actions such as a snake striking out back at you etc. I'll be posting a video on the content creation tool soon.
