Parrots Dance to Rhythmic Music

The ability to move to a beat has long been believed to be uniquely human. However, research has now shown that this capacity is not unique to our species, but exists in a variety of animals, all of which are also capable of vocal mimicry. This video shows examples of the behavioral response of two parrots to rhythmic music. See Schachner et al. for further information. I love dancing birds. They are like miracles. So amazing. I never saw dancing birds in real life. I have seen talking birds in real life. Go bird!

I'm not sure what this proves. The white parrot may have been trained by looking at someone making the moves. They just copy things. Don't think they actually pick up on the beat.
