I REALLY like the A-part --just like you said its Monoroe like for sure -- and it grabs you.
The B-part is crying for something to kind of offset or counter the A-part to make it stand out - - maybe a riff based on the G and D strings so its lower and with a littel minor or slightly dicordant feeling?
I think you are onto a GREAT new tune here.
