November 5th marks Bank Transfer Day - a day dedicated to encouraging consumers who are dissatisfied with their bank to switch to a credit union and not keep putting their money with the 'fat cat' banks. So on Bank Transfer Day in Sydney, 2011, Community First Credit Union introduced the 'Fat Cat Limo' for a day. Street goers were invited to walk down the red carpet and take a ride in the fat cat limo across town to their destination. During their ride in the fat cat limo, consumers explained how they felt about their bank and what they knew about Bank Transfer Day. Apart from delighting some consumers in grabbing a free ride in style across town, we hope we've encouraged more consumers to consider switching from the big banks.
