John was a big fan of the B52's before his life was taken. When he discovered Rock Lobster at a club in Bermuda He bragged to Yoko about how they sang because they reminded him of her.

The camera, and the editing makes it look like George is playing the solo, when it's really John.

Considering how big rift had formed in their personal lives, this is an amazingly good execution of what they did so well together, and still better than any other musical group to this day.
