Gears of War for PC - Highest settings, runs great! 7600GT

Processor: AMD64 3700+ San Diego processor with 2.2Ghz and 1MB L2 Cache.

Never underestimate the Unreal 3 Engine! I have all settings on MAX, except V-Sync and Anti-aliasing. The game constantly runs above 45fps on 800x600, and still looks better than the Xbox Version.
There are several reports of STUTTERING in-game, this is easily fixed by modifying your WarEngineUserSettings.ini file located in:

My Documents\My Games\Gears of War for Windows\WarGame\Config

Just modify this line:
OnlyStreamInTextures=FALSE

Change FALSE to TRUE and the stuttering will be gone.

You might see some stuttering in my video, it was a fresh load of the game, so not everything was loaded, and also FRAPs does take the performance down by a lot.

So in the end, this game's engine is great, will run perfectly fine on medium-end machines and like bliss on higher-end ones.

If only EPIC would fix the savegame bug...

not that pc offer more, but graphix wise it blows it away, nothing can match PC graphix, no console, no system, PC owns console in that case. Plus with PC ur running the games on resolution 2,3 and 4 times higher than that on a regular system, the images are more crisp and clean, more sharp, u can see every little tiny detail , console grphx are OK but theres no competition with PC graphix, if u have a good video card, then ur as good as gold,lol.

man like i want to have a good pc and everything but the money, the time, the effort that needs to be put into it that i dont have any of is just waaay to hard. its not like im dissing the pc. Like if a high specs pc was just handed to me or something hell ya id play it but for now ima just stick to the good ol' xbox 360

for 1600 x1200 think that you need a 7900gtx
