Monkeetime - North Korea (2011 - trailer)

Monkeetime team went to North Korea. Yes. We fucking did it. Nobody noticed that we had cameras rolling, collected 20GB of video, some shitty, some awesome. The country is beyond FUBAR. It's an asylum. It's so fucked up, it's like a hand grenade went off in your skull.

It is very difficult to edit a video that would let you feel what visitors to NK feel. It's not so much about what you SEE, but also about what you DON'T see. It's about a life straight out of Orwell's "1984". It's straight out of "The Matrix". It's straight out of some horrible horror flick. The only problem is that it is not Hollywood, but a real country full of real people neck deep in real problems.

The video will be a mix of photos, video clips (both mine and from other sources, such as the poverty and execution shots from Japanese and South Korean TV channels and other scenes from ABC Australia...) and heaps of background info on this circus...

The DPRK will imprison you (assuming you are Korean) for "threathening the stability of the nation", while the Taliban will kill you (regardless of which nationality you are) for simply being "an infidel".
