Get rid of the Master part... just call him Shihan, Soke, Kancho or whatever. Master reeks of a pedestal. Aikido is meant to eliminate ego, not project it.

@ToniMattTony ...because people that do MMA are only interested in knocking someone out. Aikido is a way of peace, a way of conflict resolution. The fight would end to quickly.

Aikido - Ai = harmony, Ki = universal Energy, Do = Path (life long), a true BUDO. The actual japanese character for BU - is made from "stop" and "sword" meaning, a mechanism for defusing a fight - not to go on the mat to show that you or your art is better than anybody else's, i.e. noncompetitive. Aikido is an art which is useful in daily life, whether you are gardening, cutting veggies, drive a car, play a guitar, or try to resolve a conflict; to be practised as long as you live.

The 'guy on the left' is Master Koretoshi Maruyama, the founder of Aikido Yuishinkai. Maybe your dojo is affiliated with Aikido Yuishinkai? Where are you based?
