Demonstration in Lombard

Successful demonstration in Lombard today, Sunday, August 24th. Many passer-by's and potential and past customers stopped to talk with us. A young couple who had recently purchased a puppy from a pet store were now facing enormous vet bills due to broken, fragile legs bones of their puppy. They had not known about the pet store, puppy mill connection, prior to purchasing their pet. Now, sadly, they do. We were here this very day in an effort to be available to anyone who might need guidance in where to attain a great pet. We have a number of sources that adopt out dogs, cats and other animal companions on a daily basis. Many of the demonstrators are animal rescuers, vet techs, shelter workers, etc. We're just trying to help people make an educated choice. Adopt, don't shop.
