@TamiTig this is from John D. Johnson; Males to be 23 - 28" at withers. Weight. 90 - 150 lbs. (Slightly larger or smaller is not a fault). Females to be 20 - 26" at withers. Weight. 70 - 130 lbs. (Slightly larger or smaller is not a fault).

@TdizzleW WRONG!! Size-General: Males should range from 22 to 28 inches at the withers and weigh between 70 and 120 pounds. Females should range from 20 to 26 inches at the withers and weigh between 60 and 100 pounds. Weight should be proportional to height and body type. A dog should be well conditioned and not overweight or underweight.
Standard: A leaner and more athletic dog in appearance.
Classic: A larger and more powerful dog in appearance.

@rainmaker1213 depends which johnson lines your talking about. John Johnson made a couple different lines and one which maxed out at 150ish was his biggest was called "yard dogs" cause there HUGE size didnt leave much else in the way for working lol! and its a proven fact the johnson lines are nowhere near as efficent hunters or all around works as hybrids are. meaning scotts/johnsons

@jonmorgann the scott type usually weighs between 80-110 lbs. my bull dog is 87lbs but he is bigger than most 100lb dogs.

My johnson/scott is 10 years old and weighs in at 125-130;bs. He wasn't done growing till he was about 3 years old. that first year and half of growth spurts was amazing! American Bulldpags are the best... thank you Mr. Johnson
