  • @squeezied The video said June - after it has budded.

  • @OS253 Lavenders do not like wet roots - I would not think it would do well where you are. The smell of lavender is not mint - closer to sage or rosemary but not that either. It is very relaxing and it is the leaves that smell, not the flower.

  • This is a brilliant gardening video. So much easier to learn from watching someone doing it than from having them tell you how to do it. Well done! Planning to do any on pruning fruit trees and soft fruits?

  • When do you prune lavender? I hear spring, summer, fall. Which one is it?

  • Great video - thank you!

  • An excellent video which answered my questions clearly and expertly. Thank you

    Sarah, that was very helpful.

  • What species of Lavender plant is this in the video??? It is beautiful.

  • @misspantherpanther If you check out her other video, Woody Lavender, it says you'll have to pull it out and start over. Please check the video before doing so :)

  • I've bought a house and have inherited a lavender plant whose "hardwood" is way overgrown, and therefore it has begun to take over the front lawn. I've heard about cutting just above the softwood, but this leaves an enormous ugly hardwood plant. Can I prune into the hardwood and still salvage the plant?

  • Very informative - too bad I didn't see this sooner
