'McChrystal deserves no praise'

The top U.S. commander in Afghanistan has been relieved of his duties over controversial remarks about leading White House officials. General Stanley McChrystal made the comments in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, calling the National Security Adviser a "clown." Barack Obama says General David Petreaus will take over the role. Ann Marlowe from Hudson Institute believes McChrystal's performance as a commander did not deserve any compliments.

People should know that Rolling Stone quoted McChrystal off the record when he was a little tipsy drinking in a bar while being stranded in Scotland because of the Iceland volcano cloud which grounded most of Western Europe at the time.

This is an unwinable war, what is winning, id love someone to define winning because to me it seems a lot like the war the english fought against the I.R.A from 1969 till 1994 there were no winners in that war, and the I.R.A didnt have uniforms like the taliban and they got their recruits from the local population, this is totally a lost cause, on the other hand to leave would create an even bigger mess, just cant see a good outcome to this war.
