  • I just got a great stocking hat pattern from knittingpatternoftheday (.) com and Grandma Nutt is adorable!

  • thank you , this is very helpful

  • This is the same as what I have seen in self teaching books. But, I had picked up a free pattern with yarn and there was a pretty irish shawl on the back. In the instructions it stated to yo over twice. I never figured that pattern out and ended up throwing the free pattern away and using the yarn for another project. I am still not sure what yo twice means or how to perform this stitch.

  • OK....so a yarn over is a way of INCREASING so that the next row will have an extra stitch (or number of stitches)......

I'm a BEGINNER even though I've crocheted for a long time.

I AM SO STOKED TO MAKE A SWEATER!

  • Thanks! I was doing it right after all. It just looked weird to me!

  • Absolutely brilliant!! Thank you so much!!
