@fizzingwhizbeee Gay rights activists aren't trying to force straight-only churches to marry them. they're trying to get the government out of their way so they can live their lives as they please, and despite what you believe, not all churches are against gay marriage. Example: The Metropolitan Community Churches have many homosexual delegates who they would like to marry, however their respective state governments will not allow them to do as they please.

I support a gays right to a ceremony as long as it doesn't infringe on someone else's right NOT to partake in a ceremony. But it is legal for gays to have ceremonies last time I checked, it's the legal side that is in debate.

I'm an athiest and I recognize that it's wrong to force a church to marry someone, or a business to serve someone.

@Redeye1524 . Marriage IS a religious ceremony, but religious ceremonies ARE rights. To deny gays the right to be married is in violation of the First Amendment, just like if you were to deny Christians the right to be married.
