The Crops is the only U.S. Force designed to be expeditionary in nature and able to operate in a state of "forward deployment". This means we keep Marines stationed around the world, ready to act whenever the need arises. Marines enjoy a reputation of prowess in battle, that was earned "in every clime and place" throughout the world in our nation's history. The Marine Corps Hymn has a stanza in it "Our flags unfurl'd to every breeze From dawn to setting sun. We have fought in every clime and place Where we could take a gun. In the snow of far-off northern lands And in sunny tropic scenes, You will find us always on the job - The United States Marines.

  • @12hat12 Dude, I'm a Marine too, and honestly it's not man, how do you expect to live a free life without people who care for their country to go and fight the wars necessary to EARN that freedom. Don't get me wrong every war that is brought on by our government is not for our freedom. But the ones that are, are the ones that will require sacrifice. And how is it because of me that future Marines will die. I would think it's more so because of the enemy we'll face, but Marines will get theirstoo

  • "freedom ISN't free, it's earned through the blood of patriots" wtf how do my boys getting torn apart promote freedom? We can't be free if Marines don't die? It sounds like some ritual sacrifice shit...... you sir can't see beyond the simplistic dichotomy of false bumper sticker slogans and it is because of people like you that Marines will continue to die. @tavalos89

  • And save us all the headache, also, if you have nothing good to say about the Marine Corps, then don't watch videos about the Marine Corps. Simple as that

  • Randall2020, you can say whatever you want about the Marine Corps, about the country and try to talk as many people as you want out of the service, but the simple truth is that freedom ISN't free, it's earned through the blood of patriots willing to sacrifice everything for their country. If it wasn't for the Marines throughout history this country wouldn't be where it is, The British would have ran through us, the Japanese would have ran through us, etc. etc. Next time think before you speak

  • no one cares. and besides why do you care so much. war is war people are going to get wounded. and someones got to do it. so why dont you quit acting like you know something about serving in our military when you really don't.

  • Your incorrect, we have pleanty of videos that share the entire picture of being a Marine. We appreciate your concern for our safety. I'll just go ahead and assume your volunteering weekly at your local VA Hospital or visiting injured troops once a week. Or are you just one of those that tell everyone else how wrong they are?

  • "because I've earned it". That is exactly the discourse organizations like the Marines want you to believe. For anyone thinking of signing up, look up some of the youtube videos that show veterans of the Iraq War, as well as others. For example "War in Iraq Video - The Cost, Consequences & Ramifications"

  • I just know more about being a Marine, because I've earned it.
