This video shows the virtual EDGE building that has been created in Second Life.

It was created by Coventry University second lifers for the Eden Project's bid for the people's £50 million.

Inside the building there are a number of features that let the user interact with other applications such as Facebook and links to The Edge's site. New features are being added daily.

It has been built by Second Life creators in Coventry University's Serious Games Institute. The building can be visited by anyone with a computer and access to the internet.

Just visit secondlife.com to download the application, then type in the co-ordinates SGI184,155,40.

  • A sure sign of successful achievement is when half-informed people try hard to knock it.

The Eden Project has saved Cornwall from it's worst recession for over 50 years.

  • It's a green house that cost £50 million.

    A pathetic waste of money

  • ive been to the eden project, and traffic going there is no problem as its in the middle of no-where,

second, the place is magical, there are alot more conservation societies and animal and plant atractions around the world that cause more pollution, atleast eden tries to be energy neutral

  • As for cars on the roads of Cornwall, penpont, the misleadingly self-styled eden project has been and IS one of the main generators of road congestion across Cornwall. Fossil fuelled long haul tourist dependency is the fundamental contradiction of the so-called 'eden' project's ungreen economics.

This would only be made far worse if the so-called 'Edge' building were built and accompanied by all the usual, tiresome attention demanding spin and blather that spurts out of Bodelva Pit.

1.Why are some of the most active International Arms Dealers in the world on the ungreen and environmentally destructive misleadingly self-styled eden project's board of trustees.

Their carbon intensive and destructive activities undermine by a factor of millions the carbon extractive powers of a few plants thousands of miles from home in a bubblewrap greenhouse.

  • SeedFromDestruction (or may I call you Destruction?), you know perfectly well that traffic isn't an issue, and hasn't been since 2001. Traffic is an issue all over Cornwall at certain times of the year - ever tried getting through Truro in the rush hour? For common sense this comment is on a par with your film.

  • it is more than big enough as it is

ask the people who can't get to work in the morning for traffic congestion

schumacher would be turning in his grave

if he could witness this monstrous eden cult

  • well i personaly think the eden progect is big enough but... im still gonna VOTE EDGE!

  • What a marvellous idea and so informative. It gets my vote.

  • Great stuff! Vote EDGE!
