  • This is a Turkish Jewish song sung in Judeo-Espanyol. Listen carefully and you will hear that the singer says "Los kaminos de Sirkeci" (The streets of Sirekeci) -- Sirkeci is a neighborhood, downtown in Istanbul. It is a business district. I collected this song 28 years ago in both Israel and in Istanbul, Turkiye.

  • @spawaterreine yeah, its also arabic instruments, andalous was an arab land

  • @tarikrajab Instrument name "Qanun" comes from the inventor of that instrument who is the sultan of the ottoman empire "Qanuni Sultan Suleyman" :) who was an admirer of music. But it does not matter, Arab, Turkish,Greeks even Jews we have all our cultures are mixed. This song is a very good example...

  • Canción Judeo-española, o sefardí. Cuando se expulsaron los judios de España se llevaron consigo esta lengua española. El sefardí se habla en diferentes partes del mundo, pero se extinguió en su pais natal. Una lástima. Un saludo.

  • those instruments are ours turkish

  • @tarikrajab Your jealousy will fail you. No one said they invented it! Why does it bother it that much to say it's Turkish even if it's not.. hu?

  • @tarikrajab LOL what an argue! you don't see anything turkish because you simply don't know, you ignorant.

  • @LaSultanadelaFontana the band is not Turkish but yeah the songs name is Los Caminos De Sirkeci :) correct :)

  • There are senseless arguments about the roots of the insturments. Everyone pretty much from Egypt to Italy got mixed during the age of empires. Romans, Andalus , Seljuks, Ottomans ... The word '' aman '' it self is %100 Turkish also couple other words in the song is Turkish. I have been in east europe and most of middle east, its all the same. Same people, culture , passion ...

thanks for this beautiful music !

  • Awesome ****
