I liked the dance. It seems more African inspired than African. It has a lot of European influence and ballet type movement. I think that you do not have to be African to do an African dance. I would expect African dance to have more soul as other commentators have suggested. Not so much effort and excercise as relaxed, rythmic, joyous movement of the body in celebration of life. Less contrived, to echo another commentator. I found it inspiring, nevertheless. A European interpretation of Af/dnc.
I was feeling the same way... it just doesnt seem as authentic when they do it... it just seems so contrived. Not trying to offend them- but it's just how i see it...
Look up Kim Veder (NY) if you really believe what you are saying...so, I guess Black folks should stay out of the pool cuz it's not "innate" to them? You're a fool...
no offense, but white people can't really do african dances, you don't have the souls or the bodies. African women dances seem to be in appreciation of their bodies and they do hip moves and get into it more.
Not hating either but this is clearly not African dance. No racist here but white folks kill me when they try to imitate something that's not inate to them. Besides the fact that this is clearly modern its missing the most important part, the african aesthetic, the soul and feel of African dance.( of course and authentic African dance steps) Nice try but please just change the title of this clip, very misleading.
They make African dance boring.
