Familiar with the term "Leaving the nest"?...Apparently some folks just cannot grasp that concept. The cycle of life dictates that for a certain time you are nurtured as a child, become an adult then leave! Seems that for some, the nurturing stage runs longer than average. lol Why is it that so many people still live with their parents after the age of 21?

"I think some people still live at home with their parents because they probably we never seperated from them from since they were young so as they grow older they still hang on, so they figure that it won't make a difference with their age, they were hooked on then so they are hooked on now, and it might not change, until the parents kick them out and tell them stand on their own 2 feet"

"Shacking up at your parents house is still as much as a drag after 21 as it is before 21... most west indian parents won't tolerate it at all unless there is a ring, engagement or marriage certificate. many west indian parents consider it to be disrespectful and not proper . i'm 27... i still know without a shadow of a doubt i couldn't bring a man to sleep over in my dad's house without a ring. he won't care if i shack up OUTSIDE the house... but inside??? hell nah. only one man sleeps in that house and that's him"

"I'm 25 and I live with my dad primarily because I'm still in college going to school is expensive no hell! it's alot easier to stay and home and if he is willing to provide for me while I try to get myself together why not? It does cause drama when I bring home guys with me but I'm a grown ass woman and I do grown ass woman things! I dont care if its in his house or not. I contribute to bills so I'm entitled! lol"

  • Its not Shacking up that's the wrong phrase for the subject at hand

    anyway looking pass miss-education.......

This video is very public opinion based

and not accurate. Living at home and

valuing family is important. Fact is......

Building up family is what Black people need to return to

dysfunctional families and broken homes can't be our focus.....

Responsible people are welcomed to stay at home and later

help family is a principle that's biblical

but most don't follow the bible.

  • How often is the child forced from the home and into a worse situation?

  • Almost 50 million Americans are living in poverty right now, and are underemployed or unemployed. Prices are through the roof. Wake up! The people that you were talking about at 350 are the smart ones saving money and not blowing it.

  • @meneedmoney Slap on a Masters, slap on a couple years to save money and your 26-27 b4 u get out. This person will be more successful financially than someone who flies at 22 with massive student loans and no down payment on a house and bad job.

  • These women come from dysfunctional families thats why they don't value family. Latino,Asian,European, and other cultures around the world live at home well into there 30's this is quite common. Women like this have know concept of family and the duty of taking care of your parents. Thats why their a fractured shattered people where dysfunction abounds.

  • To TheRealLifeShow,

It's no one else decision to tell another when it's time to move out of their parents home. It all depends on the situations and the circumstances, too many to list here, of the person and the relationship with their parents.
