Ever notice how 90% of motorcycle/scooter safety advice is about not getting hit by cars? If we all drove bikes/scooters more and cars less they would be a lot less dangerous and we would all be better off.

Remember to create a buffer zone between parked cars when passing as the driver or passengers maybe open their door(s) without seeing you.

@rolbiecki "Most people" don't shoot each other if they own guns either so I guess we ought to do away with any and all gun laws too eh? I'm all for that.

Helmets are not required in the State of Illinois in the USA. That is one of the last freedoms the socialists(Democrats) are trying to take away from us. People have the freedom to choose if they want to wear a helmet or not. Most riders choose to wear a helmet. So no need for another socalist(Democrat) law.

Informative; thanks for posting!

he put it on the full stand like a nob, so careless. also, putting your lid under your seat is pretty much the worst place to leave it, guy manages to pull up your seat gets off with your bike and a helmet so authorities wont be suspicious, that is if he can break any lock you have on etc.

Another tip, watch out for idiot drivers who are not paying attention, also stay away from sand and gravel. Ride at speeds you can manage and ride DEFENSIVELY.
