nVidia is just as prone to microstutter as ATi is.
Anyone with issues either failed to properly build thier system, or needs to re-install OS.
I've been running both Crossfire and SLi since I put up this video over 2 years ago, and haven't had nearly so many problems as with the 3870x2. Again, ATi ahs openly said that this specific problem was due to hardware design. They ahve not made the same mistake since, although, 2x 5970 Corssfire, again, with 4x gpus, is pci-e bandwidth starved.

AMD said it was a badnwidth issue with high res, due to the choice of PCI-E 1.1 switch. Old news, I'm now running Eyefinty with 5870 Crossfire....

Thanks for the info, as it may help some other people, unfortunately, not me. It was a truly frustrating experience dealing with 3870x2 Crossfire...I ended up going with 4870's, then 4890's, and am now using 5870's in Crossfire. The 48xx were OK cards, but this 5870 Eyefinity has me dealing with a whole host of other issues now.

I don't quiite understand why you insist that it's an issue caused by faulty hardware.
I was running a Maximus Formula SE(X38) in that video, and afterwords got an Foxconn BlackOPs(X48) direct from Foxconn's head office in Taiwan. See other video.
Anyway, your choice of P45 motherboard would hurt performance, being 8x8 in CrossfireX. 3870x2 is not pci-e 2.0.
AMD released Sideport on 4870x2 to avoid this issue, but fixed issues with drivers. the problem is from PCI-E 1.1 chip on vga.
