  • Good job, guys. I'm a grad student in the EE department at Yale and work in the Gereth Lab (computational neuroscience). I want to design a single neuron modeled AI system capable of playing chess and have encountered several setbacks. I found a workaround, which brings me to my questions:

Where did you get the midget in the robot? The accent sounds Bostonian or maybe Bulgarian. I'd like to place one in a supercomputer and use it to play chess. What do they eat? Can they live on glue?

  • sequel plz!

  • I heard that since Everclear 190 is illegal in California, Beirobut had to smuggle some in, and he got into a firefight with a bunch of cops in the process...and trust me, you don't want to be in a gunfight with Beirobut, that dude never misses. Apparently he let all 50 cops go down with mere ping-pong-ball-inflicted flesh wounds, being the benevolent robot that he is, but I'll be damned if you can find a more hardcore robot than that.

  • The cups are OBVIOUSLY filled with Everclear 190 proof grain alcohol, you idiot. Using beer is for lightweights. Bei-robut is way too hardcore for that.

  • Hahaha... I'll give you that, Beirobut is far more entertaining. However the fact that it plays pong with water has been dually noted.

  • First of all, Beirobut could kick any Cal robot's robotic ass any day of the week, on or off the Beirut court. Second, this video is way more entertaining than the Cal video. And finally, what do you mean by 'sub par acting'? This all actually happened. It was just lucky that a documentary film-maker happened to catch the entire thing on camera.

  • Leave it to the Stanfurdians to play "beer pong" with water. Nevertheless, the advanced duct-taping and sub par acting made for quite the humorous video. If you want to see a real beirut robot in action, check out the CAL vid; I hear that one even drinks its own beers.

  • poindexter & bei-robut are an unstoppable force @ water pong.

  • i agree whole heartedly...

  • Oh man, this is the greatest most hilarious video of all time! These guys are comic geniuses. They need to get their asses to Hollywood and make more of this.
