On any given night in America up to two million people are homeless. 80,000 people are homeless each night in Los Angeles. When I went to downtown Los Angeles at night, I was amazed at what I saw. Thousands of people were sleeping on the street, with only a sheet wrapped around them. I couldn't beleive that I was in America. It was the worst poverty I have ever seen in my life. Street after street lined with shopping carts, a few tents and just people who were poor and hungry. "The Jeffery Project" follows the story of one man's journey to get a homeless man off the street and reintegrated into society.
JUDY CURIOUS, WHERE IS JEFFERY NOW?

Very well done video! It is so sad that a nation as rich as the United States still has such a poverty problem. I suspect that most Americans waste enough money pursuing their personal materialistic goals, that (if they felt poverty was something they cared to reduce), those squandered funds could create "jeffery Projects" enough to solve the homeless problem nation wide. Just imagine if the US government scaled back some of the senseless military action abroad, and reallocated those funds...
