I can only speak to the two incidents mentioned at Starbucks and people talking loudly on the tram. I think this is just an issue of rudeness. In New York you get the same discourteous behavior on a daily basis, so I would say it is not specific to HK Asian society.

Dumb Bitches!! I never seen any white people trying to make friends with migrants who just move to the west and can't speak English. If you want to make friends with the local then learn the language. Fucken white people always complain that the migrants don't integrate into their society and when they move to another country they send their kids to international school and live in their own little community.
