like it or not, as an Arsenal supporter, we're broken. There has been no leadership in the team since TH14 left. Walcott cannot play as a striker. Reading cannot play defense at all and he can only convert 25-30% of clear chances. Giroud may be a nice striker but not the type Arsenal would enjoy having. We need a strong midfielder who can take control in the middle (i.e. M'vila - not that we can sign him), striker, full backs.

Every time Wenger tries to install a new captain to take Henry's leadership role, they leave. Hopefully Vermaelen can grow into the job before he decides to bail too.

honestly... as an arsenal fan here is what Wenger must do in january, Sell the dead weight players like arshavin, chamack and squillaci because they are not needed, then bring in King Henry back on short term loan, buy Diame from west ham so we have that ugly midfielder which is what we need someone to do the job no one else will, mbia from montillpier he is a fantastic leader on and off the pitch he could teach vermaelen a few things and finally bring in Adrian Lopez from athletico

it started the day Vieira left imo. Once he left, Arsenal midfield has never been the same. Then Henry left, then Cesc, and now we have very little future (Santi is 28 and Vermaelen is not so consistent). Wenger's ideals are great but they don't work in modern football anymore. We must sign amazing signings for next season and build from then onwards.
