the first two letters of PRide are for Peter Rauhofer. The Master of House brought DOWN the house that is Roseland Ballroom in Times Square, NYC for 5,000(!) people with an amazing set of music for the biggest party of Pride weekend in New York City : "We Can!"
Peter took charge shortly after 6 a.m. and a stageful of gyrating go gos filled the stage to help him kick off 4 hours of music that no one in attendance will forget for a long time. (well, there were a few that looked like that might not remember anything... :] ). That'd be their loss. Following early Madonna and Britney Spears moments (and, yes...that place was a circus) Peter layed down a sublime Michael Jackson tribute while the crowd bounced...hard. Not to mention, premiering the new Whitney Houston for the first time on earth? (AND it was surprisingly exciting...still, to me, nowhere even close to the chills i'll forever get during Peter's "We Belong Together" sessions. On this night, the crowd went wild as soon as it started. ) And if that's not momentous enough, Peter wowed them all with his latest Depeche Mode remix AND his brand new, urgent mix of the classic Tears for Fears song "Everybody Wants To Rule The World". WORK!
For now, take a look at some of Peter's 'work' on Madonna's "Dance 2Night." (no the lights weren't THAT crazy...i was gettin' artsy with my filming.) :]
Cool!!!
