Excellent patriotic song. Yes, a little Manilow sounding but Eddie also has some strong Jack Jones vocal inflections that Manilow does not have. Songs like this can easily sound sappy but the arrangement and production are not. They convey the message with strenght. Great steady drummer, nice trumpet support, lyrics are superior to many lyrics in songs that are similar. This song has a place in 2012 election. Nice job Eddie.

Hi @lastrada52 - Thanks for tuning in and for you comment/compliment! When I recorded the vocal track to my Sinatra tribute "It was a very good year" -- which I know you've already seen -- I tried my very best add a more Sinatra like flavor to my singing voice to honor the man himself and stay true to the Sinatra style. However, when I sing my own songs -- like "Let Freedom Ring" and others -- that happens to the real sound of my natural singing voice. Thanks again for tuning in!

Hi @GiovannaNYC - As a vocalist I've performed all over the tri-state area and who knows maybe you've attended a party / event that I've sung at? Or... People over the years have told me that I sound a lot like Barry Manilow when I sing some of my original songs - maybe you're unconsciously hearing a similarity? Hi @GiovannaNYC - As I've mentioned to other viewers I wrote my song on the last day of Sept 2001 - specific to the tragic events of 9/11 - which none of the other so called "famous" 9/11 songs can claim! Many people lost thier lives that day, and over the past 10 years of war - many more! I've had the great honor of performing my song for just about every branch of the US military and hope that someday an even broader audience will get to hear it - Thanks for the comment / compliment ! ! !

Bin Laden's death came over decade after he declared war on the United States. It's been almost 10 years since 9/11, a day which forever changed our way of life. The idea of closure is something that really doesn't exist, to tell you the truth...but we go on with our lives.

Your amazing voice coupled with meaningful lyrics soothes the heart:)
