Fantastic night at The Malt Shovel last night with Gamblers Guests. All four, Derek Nash, Sean Nolan, Micky Ash and of course Barry Sibbett performed one of the best gigs I have seen. Neil has done wonders with this pub as you will see in the near future as I'm currently working on a Malt Shovel video. Oh yes, one last thing, if you have never seen Derek Nash perform, you may already have, as he is one of Jools Holands bands sax players and in March we are going to see him perform at Ronnie Scotts with the great Jack Bruce. And one very last thing, if you don't know who Jack Bruce is, he was the bass player / vocalist with the legendary "Cream" alongside Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker in the sixties among lots of other things. He has carved out a fantastic musical career since Cream and is very highly respected in the musician world as a bass player, Vocalist, Piano/Keyboard, Celloist, Harmonica, to name but a few. Although I'm mainly a guitarist, Jack is on my "Hall of Fame" gallery with 10 of my other guitar hero's including the man who I believe was the first electric bass player in this country, Jet Harris.
