  • The Mass Air Flow Sensor is on the throttle body, so you don't need to mess with it at all. As for the Intake Air Temp sensor It is a factory sensor that is conected to the factory air box. When I made my intake I just disconnected the wires for the IAT and removed it from its factory position. Then I drilled a hole in the tubing and secured it on the eblow. I point it out in the video. There is no need to mess with the MAF as it is one unit with the throttle body

  • IAT stands for "intake air temperature" sensor. It registers the temperature of the air going into the intake and signals the computer to adjust the fuel air mixture accordingly. Cooler air=denser air. Denser air means the computer can ad more fuel to the mix. Now warmer air is the just the opposite, less dense so less fuel (great for fuel economy). If that sensors isn't connected right or whatever it won't function properly. Mas Air Sensor measures the volume of air and adjusts fuel mix as need

  • @kurtabryan. This worked great for mine. No slugging of lean fuel conditions. Check the air flow sensor and the IAT sensor. Something is up because this is not any different than the shit you buy aftermarket. My car ran great!

  • After much research and many failures I finally got a working short ram that works for aerio 04 through 07 2.3L. It has to do with the years because Suzuki changed the IAT to a MAF making your intake impossible. The trick is to use a smaller Diameter pipe especially at the sensor portion. I found a guy who had my exact model and was nice enough to give me a tutorial. I did spend about 100 bucks but that's because I kept purchasing different pieces to tune my design. It works! I will soon

  • So I see that you do not have a Maf connected to the short ram you built... Do I just buy an IAT and remove my Maf?

  • I am going to try an IAT but I'm confused on how to do it while mine has a Maf do I just disconnect to Maf and change for IAT?

  • I have a 2004 Suzuki Aerio SX that I tried this exact thing with. The intake created so much air flow in, that the motor leaned out and slugged when it had any load. Shuttered it's way on the road. No better than stock and way far from good.

    Great idea but didn't work.

  • It looks like a great alternative to save some money. Are you noticing any change in horsepower or gas mileage? It's been awhile now, have you had any other issues?

  • where is your mass airflow sensor?
