I also have the same model. I have problem with live gigs, it's too quiet, always have to turn mixer-volume high.
Do you have similar problem?

@Pianoblacks if you play in front of the computer and have an CRT monitor (non LCD) those make noise with single coils.. maybe humbuckers as well.. happens a lot to people recording in front of the computer.. i turn off my monitor while recording then back on when i finish the take.

These humbuckers have a relatively low output and soft, mellow tone.I have to really crank the volume when using a clean sound and recording through a mixer to ProTools 8 . Try using a BOSS GE-7 Equalizer pedal it really helps especially for playing live gigs with the Artcore.
