@samatention That is a cop out. If they can't serve without abusing the citizenry, they should resign from the force. Granted, police officers need tons of training in this area, but to say it's ok to abuse due to stress is a bit much. If that is the case all abusers should be able to use that argument successfully in court to continue abusing.

The cops are afraid if they use it they will be fired. Also lack of a lot of on going training in classrooms. most citizens do not want to pay the taxies.

"the cop should be locked up too for battery" absolutely. I believe cops and law makers should be help at a hire standard in the law. I've seen cops violate many traffic laws, commit assault, wrongfully discharge their firearm, tase people for pointless reasons, and so on. yet usually they are suspended with pay or fired. It's their job to uphold the law. It's unfair to allow cops to just be fired for braking these laws yet send a civilian to jail for braking the same law.
