Romantic in its fishing village aura, Calabash is located along the waters of the Calabash River. Calabash is reminiscent of a quaint antique postcard and proudly assumes the title of 'Seafood Capital of the World'. Find thirty seafood restaurants within a square mile, many located on the waterfront, where fishing boats unload their fresh catch right at their back doors. Leisurely browse the unique boutiques, shops and art galleries. Stroll through Sunset River Marketplace where over 150 Carolinian artisans display paintings, pottery and jewelry. Of course, as a port village, many opportunites abound for boating for pleasure or recreational fishing. How do you make a catch? Take your pick - gigging, surf, pier, boat, net or deep sea charter. • I'm thinking about spending my honeymoon around the Brunswick islands. Which island would be best if we want secluded and beautiful and close enough to drive in for shopping/dining?

  • Sunset Beach is the most beautiful beach and within minutes of shopping, dining, golf, etc. When are you getting married?

  • I love calabash! My uncle has a "beach" home off of hwy 179 business right after you pass the bridge going towards sunset bch. I too will miss coming this year, since I will be going to orlando and the bahamas. But I will return next summer.

  • Have a great time in Orlando and the Bahamas. Check out my Sunset Beach video - may also bring back some good memories.
