Wallace. Just found out Wallace is Gaelic for Welsh. Could William Wallace be a Welshman? Who came from "Ystrad Clud" (Strathclyde) or around that area? Vanishing Kingdoms by Norman Davies fantastic read!!

@Karharias Historians actually point out that the kilt was popular with many races - easy to see why - it can be mad from a single piece of cloth. The celts originated from central Europe, where they would certainly have experienced some Greek influence, but they were a very practical people. It only really makes sense from a practical point of view - I doubt at the time it enjoys the sex appeal it does now!

Beautiful Scotland and its people ! A brave race and good hearts too ! They must have some Greek blood in them as some Historians state. They wear a kilt like the Greeks do ! Is it coincidence ? Who is to say what ?
