Short take test drive - Toyota 2009 Fortuner

My dad made his desicion to take a test drive with new Fortuner. 3.0V 4x2 was selected for the drive. What impressed my dad is a new braking system which fulfilled more advancements and many equipments from top model even we can't drive that (this Fortuner is the only one 2009 model and demo vehicle of this showroom branch of course). i tried the 3.0D4D V earlier at the Toyota Caravan here in the Philippines. I was not impressed with the engine response, and when I tried to do a sharp curve running on a fast speed of course, loaded wih 5 people, it kind skid a little, probably the ABS kicking in (so i guess that was good). I'd rather go with the 2.7 petrol/gas variant . It's more responsive...and forgot to mention, the breaks were not that good or maybe i'm just used to cars.

You can do that again if Fortuner D4D fitted with G3S injection.

G3S is the new injection for D4D of IMV vehicles. And that comes along with newer ECU32BIT processor. This year, Toyota experimented the real world by put G3S in Hilux Vigo 2.5 Intercooler (not VN Turbo). Just by August. And next year, IMV vehicles will get big minorchange again. Toyota said next year it's too fast to unveil the IMV-II project yet.

Im fil-am and can say that fortuner is much good looking than 4runner. Fortuner is much sportier and 4runner is boxy/decent looking fit for americans.

But now I want Fortuner to be equiped with KDSS. That would be more perfect. And I greed so, current 4Runner is more uglier than ever but fitted with KDSS.

@karatcha not sure what G3S is...anyway I've pre-ordereed the petrol variant. I just hope toyota doen't release a new version of fortuner soon hehehe I'll accept a facelifted one but not a new version. By the way, i love your country man!
