We don't have money for real helicopters, so we fly this device. RC heli controls don't transfer to real Helicopter flying, so we built what you see. Better than a simulator, this is real air with real controls. Keeping the rotary dream alive until we can save up for the real thing.

  • yeah it fooled me as well i thought it was a spastic flying this toy about,,,,, do the chairs come with the helicopter when you buy one? and do they deliver?

  • The chair is a prototype that we built, and then integrated it into a commercially available counter rotating heli. It can also be integrated into any rc transmitter...so this could be used to fly the biggest gasser you could find. We use it more training/sim for the real thing than anything else.

  • Extremely cool, and something I thought about quite a bit... that is... wishing skills piloting an RC heli would transfer more directly to flying a real one. Nice step in that direction. I hope someone brings it to market.

  • Hey thanks for the good words. I am hoping someone wil help us take this out to the world. Anyone who is interested, contact me at roamingpilot at hotmail dot com.

  • to bad you really didn't make this

  • No, really, we did.

  • I saw the vid with the really expensive set-up they have out there for sale called the heli chair, they hooked a wireless video camera and a reciever to it and then recieved the signal and flew it like it was a real heli. it was bad ass

  • Yeah, that training chair is really great. I saw one other in a video where it was a full scale set up with the petals for yaw and a big stick with grip for the elevator/aileron, not sure where the throttle one was, but I'd love to get one, lol. If you're training for real heli's get a single blade rather than a counter rotation. But they're the most stable and good for indoor stuffs. The bigger they are the more stable with the single blades, that's for sure! Happy flying :)

  • damn, i thought that kid was on a wheel chair, and felt sorry for him

  • cool, but no way are you ready to be fly us around lol

  • Poem + VIDEO ...... + video ..............T
