Maung Thura Zarganar's jokes against Myanmar's military rulers have landed him in prison four times - 11 years in total.

But now one of the country's most famous comedians is free as part of the government's democratic reforms.

And even though Zarganar has no plans of toning down his controversial brand of humour, he holds no grudges against his jailers and wants to see sanctions lifted if his country continues to reform.

Al Jazeera's Aela Callan reports from Yangon.
