  • i think the south east asian martial arts like muay thai, filipino escrima, pencak silat are more effective than martial arts from up north, like karate, taekwondo, kung fu,etc.

  • if you want to learn this pencak silat come to indonesia is best for learn that art

  • @dondappa85

Saya setuju. saya pernah belajar taekwondo, pencak silat, dan tarung derajat, namun saya rasa pencak silat lebih efektif dibanding taekwondo, dan yang lebih mematikan adalah tarung derajat.

  • @harjanto81 i wld like to master this art..where can i find a guru that wld willingly train me?

  • also forgot to mention when i got to my friends knee, i paused, cause i like i said in the last comment i made, i didnt want to hurt my friend lol, that would suck. but im definitely going to keep practicing for sure. thanks again.

  • i tried the move at 1:19 on a friend who was play punching with me and when they threw one last punch i went down real fast as i could and went for their knee instead of their growing i didnt just surprise my friend i surprise my self how precise and how quick i moved. and of course i wouldnt hurt a friend, but i do practice what i can in these great vids, and they help me alot. i hope too one day learn in person, cause Pencak Silat is my fav martial art. ty for great vids keep em coming.

  • @koalalumpar Wing chun is pretty deadly... that's why Bruce Lee kept it as a foundation system for Jeet Kune Do in conjunction with kali and silat.. ^_^

  • @dondappa85 I think any martial art/system in the right hands and used properly, will be effective in doing its job. But you're not wrong; I agree that as of right now, the southeast asian martial systems are pretty lethal and getting attention based solely on that fact. The trouble I saw with the popular forms like karate, taekwondo, etc. is that they're mostly practiced as "sport." Southeast asian martial artists arent' shy about telling you they train to kill.

  • @dondappa85 yeah but i think wing chun is not that bad
