Single port laparoscopic surgery (reduced port surgery) is a very cosmetically-good surgical technique.
The advantages are invisible incision, minimal wound pain and short hospitalization.
I present two surgical technique, "sponge tube technique" and "EZ access technique".
This operation was tried to 350 patients, and was completed to 342 patients (97.7%). Median operative time was 55.8 min and median length of postoperative stay was 2.8 days.
I thought this operation method is safe surgical technique with many advantages.

  • very nice demonstration. i think single incision or reduced port surgeries are safe and better cosmetically. they may not be of advantage if the cases are difficult but for easy gall bladders they are worth a shot. A minilap grasper(2.3mm from autosutures) can be used to retract the GB.
