Just beat Seasons, working on Ages. Gotta say, this was one freakin' epic commercial

@Ifrianpsu wow four days.ouch
-
@ChristopherTheKnight I will not continue to discuss further with you because it is useless.
We obviously think very differently about this and i do not feel like spending 4 days sending messages back and forth to reach no real conclusion. I will just say i disagree with you and move on. Take care.

Link remained a link to the player. That is what made Twilight Princess so strong: you feel the bond with Midna and Link's friends personally. Link himself contributes nothing to the relationships, yet you feel the bond his friends have for him. In that sense, TP succeeded far greater than any other Zelda by REALLY making you feel like the hero instead of just playing as him.
Furthermore, character development and interactions with Link started in OoT, with Saria and Mido.

@ChristopherTheKnight If you check all the Zeldas prior to TP, including oracles/seasons, the formula i just explained is pretty much followed in every single of them. Then they started changing it with TP and a few modern handheld titles where they started to introduce developement and interaction as you pointed out.
Do not get me wrong, i love ( i assume everyone does) relationships, developement and interaction in my games but not in Zelda, Zelda was something different and now it ain´t.

@ChristopherTheKnight And that is actually why i consider TP to be inferior.
Miyamoto himself said he made his Zelda games with as little as "forced" interaction, developement and relationship as possible because he wanted link to be.... that... a link between the player and the game world, and to allow each player to live his/her own story. It departed completely from the classic formula.
Oh my god, it has been SO long since I saw this! I was maybe 9 when this happened? Now I'm 18! This brings back so many memories!

TP is just full of teen alluring content, so all the kids go "wooo cool".
Zelda OOT was pure class in every pixel.
Zelda OOT was pure conent and pure fun, and nice graphics for the age to boot.
TP is like many movies and games nowadays, just studied to make teens wet their pants thru fireworks yet subpar content compared to the games of old.
