Moberg Erici Gärdslösa aug 09

On the 9th of August 2009, after just 1 nour of rehearsal, Pär Moberg (saxophone hurdy gurdy etc) and Harald Erici (piano) performed together for the first time in Gärdslösa, Öland, Sweden, as part of a program with folk music from Öland. Pär Moberg is the course director of the Folk and World music department at the Academy of Music in Malmö, and a very active freelance musician. He has some heritage from Öland, and has studied the local folk tradition. Harald Erici is a jazz pianist, born, raised and living in Öland, and besides playing Jazz and Latin, he has also studied the local Öland folk music, and made the cd "Jazz på Öländska" with jazz interpretations of traditional Öland tunes some years ago.
