  • I don't think Tywin really has any confidence in Tyrion. I think he's given Jaime up for dead and Tyrion is his only remaining heir. Poor Tyrion.

  • @ianhh6 Don't be such a book fag. It was a good point. The fact that you've read the books doesn't make you Jesus Fucking Christ with a Ph.D.

  • God, he so earned that Emmy. Every scene amps when Tyrion is in it.

  • @agreyette I know it was a good point. It was the exact same point narrated in the book. I don't like people who read books and take a theory straight out of it and call it their own. It's like saying "I think Snape is a good guy, just my opinion" just because you've read the books, when it's actually the point the author was trying to convey all along.

  • Book 4 has a line that so suits commentary on this scene.

  • @TheKturner05 When Jaime joined Aegon's Kingsguard he gave up his right to be the lord of Casterly Rock, If he died then by rights Tyrion would be next in line but Tywin refuses to acknowledge him as his heir.

  • @stepoutofthevechile Jamie is older than Tyrion, how should Tyrion be Tywin's heir?

  • @stepoutofthevechile In the book Tyrion isn't honred hes annoyed because Tywin has given up hopes for saving Tyrion. In storm of swords he shows he doesnt care one whit about Tyrion and doesn't think much of his 'uses'.

  • @doodledee1 Why what a shockingly well thought out theory! Did you think of that on your own? Or perhaps you read it in the book?

  • @gll25 I disagree, I think Tywin has realised that Tyrion has his uses but doesnt hold him in any high regard. He still treats him as if he were a child. Don't forget that Tyrion should have been his heir but was passed over.

  • I believe what we see here is Tywin finally recognizing the amazingly smart son he has

  • Ned Stark knew the Lannister's family secret and had to be killed. Because if it went out. Jaime andhis sister would be branded as traitirs and Joffrey would not be king.

  • @Perditionist Of course. Towards Tyrion for example this emotion was disgust. And it was very strong. Jamie wasn't Tywins heir, because of the kingsguard. And Tyrion wasn't and couldn't be Tywin heir, because Tywin hated him.

  • @doodledee1 I agree as well. Tywin's a pragmatist. He's probably thinking that if he were in Robb's shoes, he would kill the Kingslayer right away. Also, I like this scene because it shows that Tywin does have strong emotions towards his children.
