For those of you that are not local, Riverfest is an annual festival in Wichita. Benjamin has a 14 (or 15?) year tradition of getting up at 4:30 AM in order to secure the best spot on the river in order to view the fireworks on the last day. 20-30 people show up at his spot to view the fireworks. I agree to accompany him each year only if he agrees to a room for the weekend at the Hyatt on the river so I can have air conditioned comfort and a clean private bathroom, something he sensibly agrees with. He gets the 4:30 AM wake-up call and I get room service, although this year I brought mimosas and breakfast sandwiches to enjoy on the river during the bathtub races on this beautiful, sunny (and dry!) day. This video is his production of this year's last day of the festival, which he posted on Youtube. I make a fleeting appearance once or twice, no one can escape Benjamin and his camera. The colors are amazing on a PC, not quite so wonderful on Youtube, but enjoy the festivities and his artwork anyway!
I LOVE this! Wichita Girl here... I love this city and I LOVE OUR RIVER FEST!!
