  • @doctorkozi on that piece, "emotion" would be a complete nonsense. Melodic emotion is for the corresponding prelude X. In that fugue, tension and emotion come from rhythmic interferences between melodic patterns (with extraordinary, mind boggingly simple resolution in the two short unisons at 0:33 and 1:06 - they always have me crying like a child when I'm in the right mood :-). You have to listen quite a bit of Bach before you feel it, as it's not something commonly explored by other composers
