  • Bullet for emo?

  • @vargoth100 all the remains ain't death metal, the metalcore. you learn your genres

  • Goth - Children of Bodom???I meen WTF?! and hardcore (it's fuckin' death metal o_O)....dude learn the different musics and then make clips

  • @Epica124 I predict that in the future, if the genres continue in the same directions, there will soon be very little or no difference between them.

  • @Epica124 Although they do have somewhat different roots, Gothic Metal and Symphonic Metal have actually merged over the years. If you listen objectively, the only differences are that Symphonic has more prominent synthesizer and orchestral usage (thus the name) and more virtuoso guitar riffage (a remnant of power metal). Also, Gothic Metal is somewhat softer than Symphonic Metal. But they definitely fall under the same general category.

  • @Istancow Tristanis plays Gothic metal you have that right. Nightwish play Symphonic power metal. Symphonic metal as a whole came from Power and Prog metal band wanting there sound to be more like a film score. And early bands such as Savatage and Therion have nothing to do with the Gothic metal.

  • Children of Bodom is melodic death metal, with some black metal and thrash influences.

Fields of the Nephilim, Southern Death Cult, Siouxie and the Banshees, Christian Death, U.K. Decay or Bauhaus might have made better examples of Gothic rock.

Alternatively, if you wanted to go for a more Gothic/Symphonic Metal approach, then you could try Tristania or Nightwish, or perhaps (in a pinch) Cradle of Filth.

Don't get me wrong, I consider myself a Goth, and I love all three genres.

  • What is the song emo?

  • @MrColdhellifyer no its not?

  • children of bodom are not goth
